Justin Curry and his No. 6 qualigied TRE powered Big Block Nitroous Camaro defeated Dom DiDonato's No. 12 qualified modular-powered turbocharged 2008 Mustang GT500 to win the DXP Sweet 16 3.0 X275 class. Curry outlasted DiDonato with a 4.259 at 166.56 mph pass to DiDonato going 4.265 at 171.77 mph.

After qualifying No. 6 Curry consistently ran in the 4.20s to beat Kenny Hubbard, Ron Rhodes and Alan Felts to reach the final round.
